You can pick your loved one up at the gates yourself, or one of our peer mentors can pick them up and bring them to New Freedom. Either way, the journey home starts here.
Members settle into daily programming, peer mentorship, therapy, meals, wellness, and events on campus.
By attending all required group sessions, members earn 2 extra off-site hours per week – equaling a 12-hour pass per month or an 8-hour pass every weekend.
The vast majority of New Freedom graduates leave with employment and housing secured and are prepared for a new chapter.
New Freedom's 90-day program is designed as a complete environment for recovery and re-entry. Here's what your loved one will have access to from day one.
New Freedom operates two residential campuses included in the program. Men are served at the Peoria facility.Women are served at the Deer Valley facility Both campuses provide a safe, structured place to sleep, nutritious meals, clothing, and hygiene essentials at no cost to members.
Case management includes work placement support, resume building, vocational training, and connections to employers who believe in second chances. New Freedom's approach to employment is comprehensive — 99% of graduates gain employment, with an average wage increase of 46.3% two years after completing the program.
Peer Support Specialists — people who have lived this journey themselves — are embedded in every part of the program. If your loved one struggles, therapist-led group sessions and an around-the-clock peer community are there. New Freedom takes a compassionate approach: struggle is expected, supported, and worked through — not penalized.
Success at New Freedom means graduating with a community behind you — people who saw you at your lowest and believed in what you could become. It means leaving with a job, a place to call home, and the tools to build something real. Most of all, it means your family gets you back — not just physically, but present, grounded, and ready for what's next.
Connection to family is one of the strongest predictors of successful re-entry. New Freedom builds your involvement into the program, from weekly open nights you can attend together, to off-site passes that start at day 14.
The first two weeks are focused on helping your loved one settle into the structured program, build peer relationships, and get grounded. After that, family time grows consistently throughout the 90 days.
